Internship Terms & Conditions
Guidelines governing veterinary students, animal behaviorists, and social work interns completing practical fieldwork at People Peace Foundation.
1. Program Scope & Prerequisites
People Peace Foundation offers structured 4-week, 8-week, and 12-week clinical and operational internship modules for enrolled veterinary medicine students (B.V.Sc), para-veterinary candidates, and social sector researchers. Interns must present college authorization letters and proof of pre-exposure anti-rabies vaccination prior to commencement.
2. Safety & Animal Welfare Compliance
Interns must adhere strictly to biosafety protocols in our isolation and infectious wards. Protective gear (gloves, scrub suits, boots) must be worn during wound dressings and surgical assistance. Physical mistreatment, aggressive handling, or verbal abuse towards any animal will result in immediate expulsion without certification.
3. Attendance & Certification
A minimum of 85% attendance, completion of clinical logbooks, and a presentation on an assigned animal case study are required for the issuance of the official Certificate of Clinical Internship signed by our Director and Chief Veterinary Consultant.
