In 2014, Amarjeet Kaur witnessed firsthand the tragic plight of injured street animals in the rapidly expanding industrial and suburban zones of Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. High-speed highways were being carved through agricultural areas, leaving hundreds of dogs, cows, and working animals vulnerable to hit-and-run incidents.
Refusing to turn a blind eye, she gathered like-minded citizens and began rescuing animals out of pocket. Recognizing that sustainability required systemic infrastructure, she formally established People Peace Foundation.
Under her leadership, the foundation has established a multi-acre sanctuary, round-the-clock ambulance network, veterinary clinic, and transparent adoption drives placed with caring families.
